Do you remember the American game show, The $10,000 Pyramid? With Dick Clark as the host, the contestants were put into teams of two. One player was given a word or phrase and had to describe it, without actually saying it. Their teammate had to listen to the clues and identify the secret word.

The word was hidden, but its attributes could be spoken.

Let's play!

Round one.

Examine these attributes to determine the source.

Here are your clues:

Stationary. Motionless. Immobile. Still. Constant. Fixed. Stable. Unchanging.

Based on these qualities or characteristics, what would you guess?

What kind of source would best explain these characteristics?

Because if the unchanging effect continues to exist, something must account for it. Perhaps the answer is Static. Static as stillness.

Where else do we use this kind of logical reasoning?

Let's find out as we move to round two!

This time, let's take a walk outside.

Here are your clues:

May be associated with the force of the wind, the power of the sun and especially in the interaction between thunder and lightning. It may be the effect behind the animation, in nature.

Why does the sudden clap of thunder startle the body and make us feel alive?

Why do burns on our skin from too much sun remind us that we are fragile?

Why does longing seem to emerge when we look upon the stars?

What is this force that pushes a plastic, through parking lots like urban tumbleweeds?

We cannot always see the force itself.

We can see the movement. We sense the shift. This is when static presents as invisible energy.

Now for the Final Round.

Here are your clues:

Electricity. The presence of background noise. Interference between signal and reception.

The place, from which humanity must consider the unknown is much like the process of exploration. In our exploration, we ask for signs, seek signals and uncover clues. While one uncanny coincidence may be noise, a lifetime of them might be called--confirmation.

If these moments are real--if they are the effects--of something unknown, what kind of source could produce them?

Those are all your clues. We need an answer!

Stillness. Energy. Interference.

Did you guess static?

We ask for signs. We seek signals. Sometimes we uncover clues. Static might also describe interference. The noise surrounding the signal we are trying to receive.

Sometimes inspiration shows up in the form of a random glance at the right newspaper headline and ignites a spark. An invisible electric charge.

Is this a Divine appointment, or just static? When the encounter drives the direction. This is synchronicity!

We come to trust God through meaningful synchronicities. Upon reflection we often realize our success was based on an opportunity that appears after years of preparation.

Are we coming to know the hidden source by observing these attributes?

God is hidden, but his Divine attributes are displayed through creation. We see the effects of God and come to know Him. The blowing wind. The electric shock. The moment of abundance that arrives in the eleventh hour. These are the meaningful experiences that manifest with synchronicity and this hidden field known only by its effects.

And when we practice the pause. We consider the source. Answers recognized in still reflection. And in this silence, we find a place of peace in the middle of the storm. Suddenly, this static starts to sound less like the absence of movement and more like the presence of something higher, ordering. This static starts to sound like an experience with God. And in this moment, we come to see. We are becoming who we were made to be.
