Beware of the rider, clothed in black.

A tale of the sinister villain.

In the darkest veil of night,

Where fear surrounds with such delight,

The rush of blood, the coldest chill,

The hunt, the fight, the thrill.

Pursuit of what would appease the flesh,

The kill was quick, the delight, fresh,

Malicious intent so sinisterly bold,

The arrogant threshold, unseen, not told.

A wicked man all would remember,

As cruel as the grave, as cold as December,

To go about with his constant call,

"Beware of the rider in black,

Lest he would declare instead,

Beware of the rider in black,

The harbinger of woe and dread!

Beware of the rider black,

All would then remember,

Beware of the rider in black,

As cruel as the grave, as cold as December..."
