Between Two Worlds
When you awaken, but haven't left your dreams.
By The Philosopher KingPublished 6 years ago • 1 min read

Darkness awakens.
I look around in a panicked sweat,
heartbeat racing and breath heavy.
I see them.
The writing on the chair.
The body in the corner.
The thing approaching.
I talk but not heard.
I feel around but nothing felt.
Only my heart breaks out of my chest.
The cobwebs blind,
The fog covers.
Breath fills as I stare at the chair.
The writing fades.
To the corner,
The bag sits.
To the thing,
My covers bunch.
The fog lifts and cobwebs vanish.
My phone lights.
I awake.
