Between the Sunlight & the Veil

Hides the Twisted Truth

The shadows dance between the sunlight

and the veil, twisting in the wind.

My still small voice doesn't carry far,

past the mountains and the moor.

Confessions linger in the air,

as my words fade to darkness.

Perhaps it's best if you never hear

my inner thoughts and prayers.

Down on my knees, I beg in silence

for forgiveness that will never come.

But alone in this room,

I steel my resolve.

I vow to keep this secret,

hidden in the shadows of my mind,

protected from the light and your judgment.

What's one more tale left unspoken,

in this land of twisted truth and lies?
