We talk in sentences,
But live in the spaces
Between the lines—
Where words fall short,
And silence grows loud.
It’s in the way your smile falters,
Just for a breath,
Before you push it back into place,
Like a mask you wear too often.
It’s the hesitation
Before the “How are you?”
That carries a world of meaning,
Too heavy for a casual answer.
Between the lines,
There are stories—
Unspoken confessions
And wishes tucked into pockets
You don’t reach into anymore.
It’s the glance that lingers too long,
The touch that brushes past your skin
Without meeting your eyes,
The laughter that rings a little too sharp,
Like a cracked bell in a quiet room.
Between the lines,
We hide our fears,
Our dreams,
The parts of ourselves
Too fragile to show
To anyone but the night.
Sometimes,
The silence between the words
Says more than any sentence ever could.
It’s where truth waits—
Patient and raw.
So next time you talk,
Don’t just hear the words—
Listen for the quiet,
For the space where meaning hides.
Because sometimes,
That’s where love lives—
Between the lines.
