Between nearness and distance, we reside,

a fragile thread, stretched far and wide.

The warmth of touch, the whispered name,

yet shadows linger, soft with blame.

Your voice, a melody so sweet,

it draws me in, my heart’s retreat.

Yet fleeting are the steps we share,

as silence falls and fills the air.

I reach for you—a hand unseen,

lost in the space where we have been.

A bridge we build, then watch it fall,

still haunted by its distant call.

How close we stand, yet worlds apart,

your gaze a map of your hidden heart.

I feel your breath, its gentle sigh,

but cannot catch the reason why.

For love is vast, both here and gone,

a fleeting truth we rest upon.

It binds, it bends, it pulls away,

then leaves us yearning for its stay.

Between nearness and distance, we endure,

a fragile bond, yet strangely pure.

For even when the ties unwind,

your presence lingers in my mind.

So I hold this thread, this fragile line,

a testament to what feels divine.

Between the moments, near or far,

you’ll always be my guiding star.
