Betrayal.

A short poem on distrust.

Splintered Heart.

Betrayal is a knife in the heart you don't know how to remove.

Betrayal makes your eyes narrow and squint, reading too much into the smallest of hints.

Betrayal is being lost at sea, not believing that that life raft in view could be coming for you.

Betrayal is when you lose most emotion and when someone gets near you question their motives.

Betrayal makes you think it's a sleight when even the people dearest show anything but pure delight.

Betrayal makes you question yourself, should you have seen this coming? Could you have avoided this hell?

Betrayal is something that kills you.

Betrayal is something that gives birth to you.

When it comes to betrayal you don't really move past it.

Betrayal just makes you someone new.
