Betrayal

When they turn on you.

Why did you have to turn on me? I trusted you with everything I had and you left a burn on me.

I picked you up when you were down, but now there’s no grabbing you back after you left me with a stab in the back.

I gave you a lot of empathy and sympathy, but then you hit me with a pain I’ve never felt from even enemies.

Once upon a time I thought you were my friend, but that was all before you tried to lead me to my end.

Saying a relationship should be built on trust is true, but I never should have trusted you.

I forgive you, but I won’t forget how you almost slayed me and I’ll never trust you again because of how you betrayed me.
