The sun sets in the west,
A colorful sky on display.
The world slows down to rest,
As night takes hold of the day.
Stars twinkle in the dark,
A dance in the heavens above.
A peacefulness leaves its mark,
As we're wrapped in the night's love.
And as we drift off to sleep,
Dreams take us to distant lands.
The night is ours to keep,
Until the morning's first commands.
