What's So Bad About A Little Nourishment?

Why would I run away from the gray wave

Of droplets coming to nourish the Earth

I’d be happy if this became my grave

//

Dark clouds, wind and water are what I crave

And with tickling green grass, this is my mirth

Why would I run away from the gray wave

//

But it’s tainted, so they flee to their cave

Because they think it no longer has worth

I’d be happy if this became my grave

//

Despite polluting the vast sky’s enclave

It endures to begin the world’s rebirth

Why would I run away from the gray wave

//

Are you inspired, or hiding in your cave

From something beautiful with endless worth

I’d be happy if this became my grave

//

If you think the gloomy “acid” depraves

You don’t have to let it enter your girth

Why would I run away from the gray wave

I’d be happy if this became my grave
