Beneath the Surface and Unshed Tears.

Tangled in Heartbreak's Grasp...

Unmoving, as the last ember wanes,

My hopes, meant for fervor, now softly explain..

Longing to let go, yet reality shackles me in chains,

No need for your words to inflict stabbing pain.

For if I could, I would mend the wounds deep within..

Grief concealed, in each role I enact and show…

Suffering surfaces, when my defenses surrender their hold.

Drained, dissolves,

Weariness gripping, overwhelming and vast,

Restlessness burdened, tears screaming from the past,

Delving into memories, unraveling steadfast.
