Beneath the Boughs

A Wanderer's Reverie in the Forest

Beneath the boughs of ancient trees

I wander, lost in reverie

As sunlight filters through the leaves

And casts its dappled tapestry

The rustling of the forest floor

Beneath my feet, a symphony

Of life and growth and so much more

Than I could ever hope to see

A bird takes flight, a flash of wings

Against the sky so clear and blue

A fleeting moment, yet it brings

A sense of wonder, something new

And as I wander through this place

I feel a peace I can't explain

The world is vast, a boundless space

And yet I'm part of it again
