"Believe in yourself", they said.

Being Real is important.

Bring whatever you can to the table,

Besides what we would rather you leave

Behind.

Belligerently flaunting your personality,

Blatant disregard for how "things are done",

Burdening your views have become.

Behemoth of an adversary to all.

Bending as I Grow and stretch,

Blooming beyond what they know,

Beckoning me like the sun.

Bubbling up inside like hot air

Bouncing in my gut, elating and dizzying.

Bamboozled by the notion that not everyone

Believes in a world like this; one that is

Both Beautiful and Freeing,

But no, not America, home of the

brave, land of the free—rather enslaved.

Blinded to its faults—no shame, not here—

Broken beyond the point of introspection.

Burning and sabotaging itself

Bombs dropping consistently

Belating trust and

Burying secrets.

About the Creator

V. N. Roesbon

I have dreamt of being a writer since a young age. In my teenage years I also came to love photography. I typically take pictures of clouds and write poems, but so far I am really enjoying creating for challenges here on Vocal.
