Being Present in this Moment

Stop bitchin' and live

Embracing life as it is in the present moment

Listening to the birds sing melodies

Or are they singing pain and misery

No, they are singing something free

They are all be singing a different tune

For the world to hear in unity, and that's ok

The wind is blowing through my auburn-tipped locs

I walk slowly and sink my feet in the dirt

All that walking made my feet hurt

The air of nature is so sweet and true

This isn't what I envisioned the day to be

Looking at those old trees

They have no leaves for me to see

The tree just hangs over and lean

Still, I walk through this life

I see many have put up tents

I'm with them; screw paying rent

There is too much in the world going on

No more street walking up or down

Mean people walking around with a frown

Never realizing what they have

Never appreciating what was done

Always with a hand out

Always feeding words of doubt

Never giving a damn about what is

Always focusing on what was

Not focused on what is right

Eyes closed so tight, they can't see the light

Stop the whining

Be grateful

Show love for all humanity

Don't give a damn who watches

Live life with no regrets

Be content for what you have

Live simple and free

Give respect and respect will be sent

I love being present in this moment.
