One came and died

so that we may live

He turned us from

sinners to saints

with His own life

you're not perfect

you're not flawless

just like me

we're human

great intentions

not always fulfilled

He never told us that

we have to be perfect

or free from flaws

it's not in what we do

it's in the try

it's in our consciousness

of what we abide by

remember what He said

that His Father would

send a Helper for us

to comfort us

and guide us

from within us

like a ribbon

woven through

our hearts and souls

we've already had

our ransom paid

you can't earn your way

you need to live it

absorb so much of

His light that

people stare

that they wonder

what it is about you

that's different

that draws them

to be seen in His image

and holding His light
