Behold a Boy

M. Fritz Wunderli

By M. Fritz WunderliPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Behold a boy with stick in fist

Wandering fields that hum and twist

Following trails where beetles roam

And sage springs from dusty loam

Hitch-hiking burs catch a ride

On muddy shoes with every stride

He counts the clouds overhead

While lying on a grassy bed

Though he wanders far and wide

He comes back home at eventide
