Behind The Veil of Summer
Each passing moment, a key.
Symbols all around us glorifying,
Each passing moment a secret, a key,
An open heart blooms softly like Jasmine,
Waking from slumber on a summer’s eve.
*
Whence we turn there is the beauty of One,
As each color varied revealed as light,
What then does bright Summer to the wise bring,
Nightingales yearn to sing to the rose at night.
*
Creatures hold their light within them and dance,
So listen closely, look the floating lights,
Summer! farewell! youth to old age reclines,
Sleep tenderly, mercy hides in plain sight.
*
Shadows prove light’s existence manifest,
And thirsty lands’ provision so attest.

In writing, each letter becomes a symbol, each word a note, and each story the lyrics of a song to be sung to the rose.
