Each Morning, I wake
I put on a face
I try and try
And eventually, i smile
It's not entirely real
But not entirely fake
Each morning, I wake.
It's a scheme, I know
A scheme but so real
I think I forgot me
I don't know who I am
behind the masks
lies a face of confusion
but in front lay plans, fully developed
It's A Scheme, Trust me, I know
Bottled up, My emotions
Sometimes I forget to breath
And other times,
I can't bear to read
between the solid lines
So that maybe I can find
Who is Talianna?
A girl that much is known.
Behind the mask/s
The strong, bold exterior
there is a storm, a big ugly storm
Waves of emotions fighting to be let out
But they're suppressed into black and white clouds
Once they were loud,
but now you can hear a pin drop
Trust me, it's not my fault.
I am a slave to society's rules
Regulations that are much too cruel
A girl with a pure heart
She was broken in to fast.
Do's and Don'ts
Words with hurt
Instead of being told express yourself
I was given books, that taught me to suppress
I am a slave, bondage is my name.
Behind the Mask/s
I am fighting to be freed
Unfortunately, freedom doesn't come easy
A road with no end
With the mask, i have a name
Without it, i am nameless
I am no one.
I don't stand out in a crowd
But after all the years,
I find comfort, fading into the background.
This is me,
Talianna
The Masked Lady.
