As if our entire journey
Was obliterated, to you
An era gone to waste.
Memories displayed, tagged
With yard sale prices.
Years of care and support
Overpowered by
Foolish disloyalty.

This relationship ruined,
A home no longer resembling
Our shrine, our temple
Of safety and devotion
That was once so secure.

I have accepted these corrections,
Coping with torment.
Suffering throughout
This visitation of karma.
Enduring each hazardous twist
That mistakes evoked.

As a new journey begins,
I will not lose grasp of the past.
Experience the various emotions,
Grow stronger, and
Learn to find light
In the darkest of places.
