Begin Again
Searching for pieces of your broken heart in every wrong place and trying to fill the void can only make things worse.

Abandoned love letters collect dust in their once beloved hiding places
While sweet memories fade slipping into the shadows as new yet tarnished ones take their place
What was a happy beginning so new and exciting becomes a never ending habit
Sweet nothings have become bitter spit on her tongue
Sunshine and summer have gone cold and taste of cigarettes and regrets
The search for joy has become a scavenge for the tiniest bit of warmth
When will this end and solace be found wrapped in someone's arms
It gets closer and closer to the end each day but at morning light starts all over again
No end but the continual exchange of happiness for more time
