I have butterflies in my stomach,

And these thoughts that are in my head,

About a future and a life,

But one where I’m not dead.

See, I never thought I’d be here,

And honestly, I’ve asked God why,

But standing in this moment,

I knew I shouldn’t die.

You drew me in like a breath,

And wrapped me around your heart,

I knew from the moment I felt you,

That this would be the start.

A start that has no end,

Where the sun would always shine,

From the moment that I met you,

I hoped that you’d be mine.

My heart has been so lonely,

My touch always so cold

But somehow when you’re with me,

I feel like priceless gold.

Our fingers interlace,

Like our bodies do to dance,

If forever really existed,

Then this would be the chance.

My heart breaks already,

From the thought of losing you,

It’s just no other guy I’ve met,

Has made me smile the way you do.

I’m allowed to be myself,

Broken in tons of parts,

And you look at me like I’m perfect,

But I’m the Queen of broken hearts.

Your touch has seemed to stitch me,

Together, like I’m whole,

Now I feel like I’m looking at

The other half to my soul.
