Before I Fall

Does water go back to itself?

If Water were an entity..it would be you too.

Shoes to pavement the two yellow lines who've never met each other fell.

Begin to fall, lurch.

I clutched my stomach as I felt my gravity suspend.

Hanging there, I began to stare.

At what I thought was the end of the world in the reflection of waves, maybe bluer than their twin, the sky.

Heavy water affects me like gravity. The water in me wants to go back to itself.

I’m walking upside down.

I'm walking upside down.

On an Earth that has no up or down.

I can’t go back. I can’t unsee it.

What the water told me. About gravity, Earth, and air. About up and down. How I felt at the waves before I fall.
