Beauty out of being Broken

Becoming Whole Again

By Jowie EspirituPublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

The snow still falls and the wind still blows

sending chills to my already cold toes

and the fog that gathers and builds up in the distance

still seems to keep me away from my own existence

and the path I longed to take seemed already lost

as I looked back the past and counted all the cost

of pursuing a dream that was never meant to be,

a promising future that is never meant for me,

but as I silently stood there, I patiently waited

to see the path that life has fated

for me to take and start again

from the place where it all began

and hope that this time it will all be well

and never walk again where I stumbled and fell

and although any fog would gather all around,

a glimmer of hope will always be found

and even if the snow will bring back the cold,

I will still be able to see and behold

the beauty being brought out of being broken

when the soul that thought he was being forsaken

by the very force who allowed him to dream

has now finally realized that everything is part of a grander scheme

to make the broken become whole again,

to make those who wander from their paths find their way again,

to make the hopeless find the will to try again,

only and only then shall my heavy heart finally rest

from its long and laborious quest

and never again shall my weary feet roam

away from the joy and comfort of home

until I am ready to start anew

and search once again for a dream come true.
