Beauty by the River

(Our) Tree of love

(Yet to be finalized)The need I conceived, to search for my soul

To fill what I perceived a heavy black hole...

But...

The light in the night which once burnt bright

Now barely is glowing

As birds of a feather who had flown together

I remember us growing

The roots of our love, which we grew deep,

Were born of the memories we were meant to keep

I watched in awe as the ground began to recede

That moment in which our branches shot up with speed

We went away

Our way

Away on high

Thoughts so daring, such as to pierce the sky

Born of dreams so vivid, I questioned my eyes

But...

The light in the night which once burnt bright

Now barely is glowing

As birds of a feather who had flown together

I remember us growing

As our colors entwined

We'd danced all around

Bound pure in our youth

We'd sang a new sound

For the passion between us

And the seed which we'd found

That which we called Love

And placed safe in the ground

Our home had grown so fast...

For one that did not last...
