Beautiful is the night, beautiful the moon,
The tired night will go down the date soon.
The starry dust settles dew on the corn.
As swarms of stars head towards the morn,
O how do I depict this silent serenity!
The eager embrace of this dark divinity,
The night asks for diction,
The night demands to mean,
The night writes fiction,
The night bestows healing,
Mad is the night, Mad the moon,
The same day will spread light soon.
