Author’s Note: This is my twelfth day in the fifty-day song/lyric-inspired senryū challenge. Today’s poem is inspired by “Scars to Your Beautiful” by Alessia Cara, which you can listen to below. I just wanted to write something to lift up all those feeling oppressed by modern beauty standards, and this song is so moving and inspiring in that way that it inspired me to do so. I hope you like it and my poem.
