A Day in the life of a Refuse Collector

There once was a young man who
Rode a beast throughout town,
Until one day life changed,
When the beast threw him down.
Through scorching heat,
Freezing snow,
He kept with his duties,
Figured he had nowhere else to go.
He fought many battles before,
Never asking for more.
Fought through hunger, pain, and sorrow,
But always emerging better than before.
But this struggle would be real,
Because it would change life from now on.
How would he keep going,
With his finger gone?
