Be beautiful today. Practically Imperfect...Because

Be beautiful today.

Neither flawless, nor polished.

Just beautifully, rebelliously you.

Be the kind of beautiful that

is a laugh that wasn’t planned,

a thought that wanders into brilliance,

a memory that softens your shoulders,

a scar that decided not to hide, but to glow.

Be practically imperfect,

the way a misshaped handmade bowl is cherished

because your thumbprint still proudly shows.

The way a garden is lovelier

when one wildflower refuses to stay in line.

The way a life becomes art

only when it stops trying to be a brochure.

Nobody wants perfect.

Perfect is sterile.

Perfect is silent and a tad bit sad.

Perfect is a room with no windows.

But you ~~~

you are a window thrown wide open.

You are breeze and sunlight

and the scent of something new

blooming in your garden

even if you can’t name it yet.

So be beautiful today

in the way only you can be:

unrepeatable, unedited,

a little wild around the edges,

and entirely, gloriously real.
