Battle

Of the Mind

By Oddy HernandezPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

In the battlefield of my mind, I search for peace I cannot find.

Not all wounds can be seen by eyes, it’s my soul that bleeds, my spirit cries.

No one can tell the chaff from the grain, laughs and smiles mask my pain.

You think you know me, you have no clue..

I’ve done more damage than you can do.

Be my enemy or my friend, does it matter in the end?

When you’re gone I’ll still travel my lonely path.

Till my judgment comes..peace or wrath.

Many deaths I have died, killed by what lives inside.

Once I loved with you at my side..that went away the day you died.

When your eyes lost their light, then began my greatest fight.

Missing the life I couldn’t save and remembering the love you gave.

I will continue win or lose, and live this life I didn’t choose.
