The world is stuck in fear

The feelings grow colder

We know a war is near

Is it worth a fight, to lose all you know?

Is it worth the pain, to save a world so cold?

Waking up to a midnight call

Hearing the worst of news

The world stands still now

I know what I have to do

BOOM goes the cannonball

Late into the night

Fear fully engulfs me

As I run into the fight

Catch 'em in the crosshairs

Why's this feel so wrong?

See the pain deep in their eyes

They know the battle song

A victory in battle

Still brings on the pain

A medal still sits heavy

When you're standing in the rain

What made us so lucky, to make it home alive?

Why are we still standing, too scared to even try?

I know my family's scared

To know I'm not the same

The world has turned so dark now,

Stuck in a nightmare game
