I had been here dozens of times before,
Barefoot.
It always ended where I stood,
Barefoot.
This time, something different.
Shoefoot.
Narrow mind holding me back,
Shoefoot.
I wrapped leaves around my soles,
Leaffoot.
I ran through the woods,
Leaffoot.
Now shoes, people, civilization,
Shoefoot.
I walk the grocery store isles,
Shoefoot.
But this shop is overrun by demons,
Fearfoot.
Very few see their hiding,
Fearfoot.
Can’t let them notice I’ve noticed,
Caughtfoot.
They drag me away,
Caughtfoot.
The frozen isle is a portal,
Freezerfoot.
Where they leave me alone,
Freezerfoot.
I can break out,
Escapefoot.
Try to stop the monsters,
Escapefoot.
Caught again,
Awakefoot.
Never had the dream again,
Awakefoot.
