Bare-Naked

A beautiful drawing by @flammedepigalle

I lie upon my bed,

Bare-naked

With only the sheets to cover my pain.

I lie upon my struggles and sorrows

Bare-naked

So they can consume me.

I lie baring it all to my madness and sadness

Only to cry and hide in the darkness.

I lie upon my bed,

Bare-naked

Sad and alone.

I lie upon my bed,

Bare-naked

Yearning for your touch and attention.

Why must I be sad and alone,

Why can’t I be happy and loved?
