Bank of Clouds

… below me.

By Tim GracePublished 3 years ago • 1 min read

Below me, a bank of clouds,

a deceptively solid mass.

As with mobs, and moving crowds,

it abides no guide or compass.

.

As if driven by its changing shape,

it drifts beyond itself,

as one amorphous cloudscape

on its way to somewhere else.

.

With dissolving definition,

it balloons in to a form

with potential recognition

as an agitated storm.

.

What's coming is grey and humourless.

What's gathering is darkly cumulus.

.

About the Creator

Tim Grace

A first impression has a lasting effect - it makes a notable difference. In a subtle way that’s who I am as a poet. A ‘first impression’ looking for the gentle ‘twist’ that draws attention to a novel observation.
