Bald Heads Paint Swastika Love

The Wild West was painted, for me, in old-time Technicolor strips of

Faded red and mauve and tinctured wash of watercolor browns and greys--

On an old tube television,

(with bad actors behind cowboy hats and cloaks and buckskin breeches)

And grizzled beard of face,

Mopped up behind shadow of bat-wing door,

As the ghost of music is banged out, across ticklish ivories and whorehouse legs--

My knife is a white bone slashed with swastika emblem,

and I explain to a guy that might have been Jack Elam--

And I know he doesn't buy it.

So I stick my bone like a sliver of tooth in his gut,

Like a dusty dance in a darkened doorway, we're struggling body to body,

And I stab. Stab. Stab

And an old cowboy TV actor

(who could have been Jack Elam),

comes rushing in to pull me off,

and I explain that the swastika is a universal symbol of a New Order.--
