B u t t o n

Only if THEY'd wish...

By KomalPublished about a year ago • 1 min read

Button to beam, too bright to bear.

Button to hush the sun I wear.

Button to dim what blinds the room.

Button to bloom, then back to gloom.

Button to pause the pouring flame.

Button to shift from loud to tame.

Button to fold my fire in half.

Button to mute my lightning laugh.

Button to flicker—safe, not stark.

Button to be a SOFTER spark.

Button to vanish, not offend.

Button to twist so they pretend.

Button to blink, to fade, to please.

Button to fit in tighter sleeves.

Button to know when less is kind.

Button to quiet my quick mind.

Button to pulse on someone’s CUE.

Button to shrink when I feel true.

Button to spare them all my storm.

Button to shiver into norm.

Button to never burn too long.

Button to clip my colors clean.

Button to ghost what could have been.

Button to vanish when they squint.

Button to bleach out every hint.

Button to soften all my shout.

Button to turn my inside out.

Button to make me small and still.

Button to swallow every WILL.

Button to trade my laugh for peace.

Button to give, so they release.

Button to flatten all my curve.

Button to BE what they deserve.

Button to dim my holy mess.

Button—to fit, I must be less.

Button to silence what they fear.

Button to disappear right HERE.

Button to bruise me into grace.

Button to erase,

erase,

erase...
