Crickets chirp in the shadows,

Musical notes rising above the

Rippling rivulets flowing in the hills.

I look out across the luscious field

Below me, see rolling mountains in the

Distance, calling to me, their

Sweet, enticing voices

Echoing in my mind.

I lay now in a stream,

Looking up at the stars--

Twinkling, bright, even

Ethereal, like spirits

Reaching down, entwining their

Fingers in my hair, entrancing

Me, pulling me closer.

Cool mountain water laps at my

Face, and I hear fish jumping,

Creatures moving in the woods.

Life is born anew, and the

Frost is gone from the air.

Tell me, stars, why do you pull me?

Do you want me to join you,

Call others from their peaceful slumber?

I give in to you, let

Me rise to your heavenly stature,

Awaken me.
