Midday in the middle of October,

There’s no traffic down the street, and everyone is busy.

Looking up, you’ll find a cloudless sky after so many days, wondering if the sun will grace us. The sun will warm your skin but ever so slightly always be out of range.

This is the eye of the storm. The blissful scene before the climactic battle.

Your heart flutters as you focus on the small bugs that float in the air. You start to notice the little things around you, from the cobwebs on the fence to the birds chirping a block away.

This is the reward. This is why you work so hard. You get to spend time relaxing in the sun, without a care in the world.

You’ve made it.
