Sitting in an autumn drizzle,
hear sparse rays of sunlight sizzle.
Lithe light moves in mottled patches,
slipping through the thick tree branches;
cast upon the oak leaves fallen,
golden rivulets of pollen.
Watching water, dropping droplets.
Birds chirp out, the feathered starlets;
shaking dew in surprised dances,
perched, wait with umbrella branches.
Bees buzzing by, bouncing, bumbled,
my puppy pounces, untroubled.
The clouds are far between and few,
sprinkling from a sky of blue.
Hoping to find a rainbow form;
still joyful for a little storm.
Home is here, in Earth's soft wet smell,
a scent no store could ever sell.
My furry companion nearby,
nature abound, and cloudy skies.
