August, Leaving
Day six of 50 days of haiku inspired by songs and for Mike's The Importance Of Being August - A Mikeydred August 2026 Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators

As August bows out
You're feeling it, I am too
As we look to fall

Thanks for reading!
This is inspired by Alyson Smith's challenge of writing a haiku a day for 50 days inspired by songs and lyrics that are special to her.
I'm actually a day late because I spent much of my alloted time for writing yesterday expanding, editing, formatting and submitting my story The Goddess of Misery to a publication.
So consecutive day after day streak may be fucked but this is the next thing I'm posting here so it's consecutive in a sense.
So this is my sixth entry, inspired by Summer's Gone by Feeder. Art, again, by yours truly!
Tina D. Lopez, Harper Lewis and Stephanie Hoogstad have also been doing this challenge.
Make sure you check out their poems at their profiles.
As it involves the end of summer I've also put it forward for Mike's The Importance Of Being August - A Mikeydred August 2026 Dollar Prompt For All Vocal Creators.
