The partial solar eclipse casts a shadow

over the warm summer’s day. The owls

call to reassure each other.

The chipmunks chase one another for

more acorns and nuts. Filling up

their stores for winter.

The broad wing hawk cries into the

air that something eerie is happening.

The partial eclipse winks out.

All is as it should be once again.
