Attraction of a Video Game
This poem debates what brings new players to play video games
What is in a video game,
That keeps bringing new players to join?
Could it be the freedom,
To explore anywhere your heart desires?
Could it be the experience,
To improve one’s own class?
Could it be the action,
To slay as many monsters as your heart desires?
These memories formed from adventure,
Are etched into one’s soul.
The soul however,
Is formed from more than just adventure.
Sometimes a video game’s creativity,
Inspires players to create a wide variety
Of sculptures based on one’s favorite character,
Of towns inspired by real world destinations,
Of video games created by complex mechanisms
This creativity attracts new players
To form bonds with the creators.
These bonds take the form,
Of audiences watching every new creation,
Of friends sharing the creations,
Of people pushing each other to their limits.
Thus when someone ask,
What is in a video game,
That keeps bringing new players to join?
The answer formed from adventure, creativity, and friendship
Is unique to everyone who plays a video game.
