The screen flickers grey,
a swarm of salt and iron dust
dancing behind glass.
It carries no message,
only the weight of what wasn't said
when the line went cold.
You feel it under the skin first—
a restless, low-voltage current
humming through the joints,
a room filled with dry air
and wool pullings, waiting for a spark
that never quite arrives.
It is the outline of a ghost shape
trapped between two stations,
a frequency pressing against the ribcage,
asking to be named,
asking to be cleared.
Instead, it just hums,
a snowstorm locked inside a shadow,
holding its breath
in the dark between channel turnings.
