Black women, be wary of how they have our family trees carrying blood

and their stolen, ruptured heavens--dripping shattered stars and spilling floods.

Never forget the pitch of their laughs from their perch on our backs

as they judge us below them for being downcast as they drain us for cultural roadmaps,

But it's funny how when we throw down the earth, they forsake us.
