Ataraxia

A Poem

By Atomic HistorianPublished 12 days ago • 1 min read

Human beings are fickle things

Nothing but power fiends

Lay me beside foggy waters

Cut off my son’s hands

Carve out his heart

And feed them to your daughters

Smile through the pain

Because you got a miswired brain

Extra cylinders

But not all are sequenced

Rewinding the events

Over and over

They make you grow older by the day

Because they strip your life away

Emotional hypoxia
