A Poem of Hearing from Within.

Sleep is for the weak.

My mind comes alive and wants to run into the darkness and see the world from a different angle.

During the day I wear my hats and do my daily duties.

You would think I am a servant.

No pay. No gratefulness. No thank you.

At night I am in my own world. Imagining where I can go and who I could become.

Being almost forty and still looking forward to who I wish to be when I grow up.

Steady days make busy nights and my mind is running.

Thirsty and wondering where has time gone.

Feeling and needing. Seeking. Numbering. Tomorrow comes quick.

Desperate and then… confusion and tiredness enter the room like a thick fog.

Life is too short and I am going to love every minute of it.

Love the day and night.

Have them dance together; like two strangers both seeking strength in each other.

You need both to stay sane.

To grow in the light where we can see but search in the dark where things wait and hide.

Appreciate and love.

Moments pass and I am still strong.
