The dreamland of wandering

Everything hinged on one dream,

But it sunk in a sugar-tar land

Draw up a new escape scheme.

-

Gates crumbled; the sun snuffed her beam

We bargained with the marching clockhand,

Everything hinged on one dream.

-

Rivers wasted to a dusty trench stream,

Prisoners plotted in the midnight sand

Draw up a new escape scheme.

-

The warning bell clanged, but they ignored its scream.

They dithered and planned into traps firsthand;

Everything hinged on one dream.

-

Where was the warmth of the Gleam?

It shivered and bent to the cold land’s demand

Draw up a new escape scheme.

-

Without the light, we’re a blind stumbling team,

braided with darkness that will only expand.

Everything hinged on one dream.

Draw up a new escape scheme.
