I remember you longing for silence;

You took it for yourself.

It was all you wanted.

Any noise invisible,

all interruption deplorable.

You wanted silence.

It is here.

Here it is.

Lie in it.

-

This is what you wanted.

This is as quiet as it gets.

I hope you enjoy it.

I hope it was all you ever wanted.

-

In so much silence

festers loneliness,

violence, and narcissism.

It would be a shame

to go on being forgotten,

but some things bury themselves.

Perhaps for the better, so

I remember you longing for silence;

You took it for yourself.

It was all you wanted.

To be hidden.

Any noise invisible,

all interruption deplorable.

You wanted silence.

It is here.

Here it is.

Lie in it.

Is it all you ever wanted?
