As I’m slowly getting older
I am the shadow of the man I used to be,
My bones are getting weary
And I’ve got a problem with my knee.
My mind it struggles to focus,
Is it the weather or just me,
But the winter’s getting colder,
And the summer’s too hot for me..
Not so long ago, my life was different then
I don’t understand what’s happening to me,
Once there were countless friends
And now, well it is just me.
That, my friend, is how life is
It’s time to accept reality,
Life is short, you can’t go back,
In time, you will come to see.
No matter what you do, time simply moves on,
And one day you will be old, just like me.
Till next time,
Calvin
