Hell burns around us

Author’s Note: Today marks the fourteenth day of my path on the fifty-day song/lyric-inspired senryū challenge. Today’s poem was inspired by “Stand By You” by Rachel Platten, which you can listen to below. I’ve written a poem partially inspired by this song before, but this is the first one that I’ve done for this senryū challenge. I’ve found this song to be very uplifting during challenging times, so I thought it appropriate to share. I hope you enjoy it and my poem.
