ARROGANCE

In the realm of human folly, arrogance reigns supreme,

A venomous serpent, a poisonous dream.

It slithers through minds, corrupting the soul,

A tyrant within, taking absolute control.

Arrogance, a chasm where empathy dies,

A blindfold that veils truth and reason defies.

It whispers sweet lies of superiority,

Blinding its host to their own fragility.

Like a tower of pride built upon shifting sands,

Arrogance stands tall, until it crumbles and lands.

For what is arrogance but a facade of strength,

A brittle veneer, concealing its true length?

It parades in the guise of confidence bold,

But beneath the facade, insecurity's hold.

It feeds on the fear of being perceived as weak,

Yet in its grasp, true strength finds its peak.

Arrogance breeds contempt for those deemed beneath,

A poison that seeps through each arrogant sheath.

It scoffs at advice, dismisses the wise,

Yet in its blindness, it falls, and then dies.

For arrogance knows not the power of humility,

The strength in admitting one's own fragility.

It blinds its host to the beauty of growth,

Leaving them stagnant, trapped in their own oath.

But in the face of arrogance, there lies a cure,

A humble heart, steadfast and pure.

For humility is the antidote to pride,

A beacon of light in arrogance's tide.

So let us cast off the chains of arrogance's sway,

And embrace humility in its purest display.

For in humility, true strength is found,

And arrogance's grip is forever unbound.
